Who we are

AI Compass Labs is run by Arfah Farooq, who is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. You can contact us about your data at hello@aicompasslabs.com.

What we collect

When you request a free resource, such as our guide to the Compass Framework, we collect your name, email address and organisation, and your answer to the question about the AI or digital decision your organisation is facing. We also record which link or campaign brought you to the page, and whether you asked to receive updates.

Why we collect it and our lawful basis

• To send you the resource you requested. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to your request.
• To send you occasional emails with practical AI tips for charities, only if you tick the updates box. The lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• To understand which organisations use our resources and what they need, so we can improve them and follow up where we can help. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest.

Who we share it with

We use MailerLite to store contact details and send emails, Airtable to keep our record of enquiries, and Netlify to host this website. Both act as processors on our behalf. We do not sell your data or share it with anyone for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep your details while you remain subscribed or for up to two years after you last engaged with us, whichever is later, and then delete them.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent at any time. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@aicompasslabs.com.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
